This week Des talks about parallel compression, Ryan compares the GLS Audio microphones against the comparable versions of the Shure mics, and Jon discusses choosing the right microphones for the job. As always, you feedback is appreciated.
If there are any topics that you would like us to discuss, please let us know.
To listen to all of the GLS Audio vs Shure tracks individually, check out Ryan’s write up on his page. http://ryancanestro.com/2008/06/17/shure-sm57-and-sm58-vs-gls-audio-es-57-and-es-58/
Again, great content guys. NY/parallel compression I always use! It is very effective- great topic. Jon’s “Crush Bus” cracks me up- we were trying to determine if he coined that phrase or heard it elsewhere….
Mics I could talk about all day- in fact I am giving a mic workshop tonight
How about the topic of side-chaining/ducking? It’s a bit more advanced. though……
